In honor of the 30th anniversary of the 1980s...

I went rollerblading today.

Yes, 2010 marks not only the beginning of a new decade where we don't know what to call the years (oh eleven = mad awkward) but also 30 years since a very memorable decade here in America. Oh the 1980s. Now many of you who know me, which I assume is all since I am not a world famous blogger quite yet, know that I was not alive in this decade but was conceived in it, as mother likes to remind me. However, I had some big hair as a young tot of the early nineties and was also a wee bridesmaid in purple velvet in 1991. Therefore I think I could be considered part of the club.

Anywho, today I decided driving, walking or riding my bike to the bank were not interesting enough. So I strapped on sam sam's blades that had been in the back of my car, fireed up the iPod and went on my way. After a stop at the bank I was tired but easy for more. (I'm trying to live up my youth as long as I can, now that I'm in my twenties). So I bladed into dunkin donuts for a two coolattas, one for me and one for Matt or makenzie or sami, whoever was working at the marina. So just imagine me, coolattas in hand, wallet tucked into spandex shorts (hello 80s), iPod and phone in my sports bra in a crouching position at I roll down the hill into the marina. If it wasn't for the crack berry people probably would have thought I escaped from a mental institution. Needless to say, I took a lot of crap for the blades, but I couldn't help but love the experience. I recommend a day on blades for all, young and old!

Entry on the way: Camille goes to the psychic.
Almost sounds like a children's book.

Also, please FOLLOW the blog so I look cool. I know gmail users can but I'm not sure about the rest of you!!

Holla Back Now

Welcome all.

Don't expect to find anything too profound here, folks. For all of you who know me, I am one of those people who always has something crazy going on. Whether it's one of my four siblings driving up the walls and out of my house, a funny table I waited on or a trip to the supermarket gone wrong, I find random things happening to me all the time,

Recently, I decided to take a semester off from studying at The American University to travel through Europe. Originally I planned to study abroad in Madrid for the fall semester but my adventurous side got the better of me. So i called up the school, sat down the parents (actually my dad and I sat on rocking chairs on the deck sipping coronas to discuss the trip) and got to business. I took out travel books from the osterville public library which is this tiny little building off the main road in Osterville and started reading. Let me tell you, there really is a lot of art in Italy, not to mention about ten million churches. So, anyways, I leave In about 5 weeks and decided to start blogging in honor of this wild idea come true.

Meanwhile, I am watching hairspray and drinking a corona. Yes, in 5 weeks I pray my life will be slightly more interesting.

Stay tuned.

XO
